Little Jimmy's got his backside in a bind Returned his tape on time, but did not rewind Now he's flyin' home, card flickin' in his spokes A bag of chips, some gum, a couple stolen Cokes. And ooooh Little Jimmy never learns, no, no And all Little Jimmy does is burn his Bridges and Candles All the kids are livin' down at the playground But, Little Jimmy finds a way not to be around He's off and at 'em doin' something he shouldn't He knows it's wrong, he tried to stop but he couldn't And ooooh Little Jimmy never learns (He takes on more than he can handle) And all Little Jimmy does is burn his Bridges and Candles And Little Suzi is his mischief queen Makes him slugs to feed the quarter machine And they're both livin' the adolescent dream But Jimmy....has got his backside in a bind Now the day's recedin', all the parks are clearing out But Jimmy's hangin' late, wonderin' what's about Mom is screaming from the living room window Second floor, her voice carries where the winds blow And ooooh Little Jimmy never learns (He takes on more than he can handle) And all Little Jimmy does is burn his Bridges and Candles And ooooh Little Jimmy never learns (He takes on more than he can handle) And all Little Jimmy does is burn his Bridges and Candles And ooooh Little Jimmy never learns (He takes on more than he can handle) And all Little Jimmy does is burn his Bridges and Candles

Dust settles in the haze of the sunset As the day subsides You're lyin' ass first on the pavement Eyes wide to the sky You played your part in the cycle I respect the try But the young, they just keep on comin' Comin' to die They come to try Gathered your crowd around midnight I see the stars in your eyes Belt hangin' at a rakish angle And strapped tight to your thighs You played your part in this game I respect the try But, the young'll just keep on comin' Like you they come to die They come to die At least they tried So step up if you're willin' I know you need to try Ghosts of the past won't hear you But the ones to come just might It's somethin' you're born to baby So let your hammer fly The sun and the sand they tell me It's my turn to die My time to die I've played my part in the circle It's my time to die

You Will See 04:18
I caught your eye on the dance room floor, by the door, and my jaw hit the floor; I couldn't ask for much more. When you looked my way, I must say, you left a way for me to get to know you better someday. And that look said to me I am free, we will be Something so much more as one, you and me. Oh baby, you will see... You will see. I remember that day at the mall, it was fall, do you recall? No, you were alone and you bought nothing at all. But the music played outside the arcade and you stayed. My mind's made; such a pair; Heaven Made. And the vibe in the air told me to beware, to take care, we will share a life, you and me. Oh baby...you will see. You will see, you will see, it's you and me. Oh, baby, you will see. I caught your eye on the dance room floor, by the door, and my jaw hit the floor; I couldn't ask for much more. When you looked my way, I didn't know what to say, but we swayed in that way that made the whole world melt away. That look said to me I am free, we will be Something so much more as one, you and me. Oh baby, you will see... You will see. You'll see, you'll see, it's you and me.

The City 04:44
Streetlamp is a spotlight Heat rising in waves off the pavement tonight Beads race down my window Red gives way to green, and then yellow And I feel it here... I can smell your fear... Headlights off the blacktop You can't seem to keep up, but you can't stop Cars outnumber the faces Too many things are worth less than the space is When the City Sleeps, it doesn't sleep alone And when the city sleeps, it don't sleep for long Grime doubles as face paint Back alley's a bitch with no restraint New Wonder, our Skyline Pulses beat, grind, and moan in shared time Towers and Trees, Concrete and Bark Steel and debris, Van Cortlandt Park Towers and Trees, Concrete and Bark Steel and debris, mmm Poe Park Towers and Trees, Concrete and Bark Steel and debris, Pelham Bay Park Towers and Trees, Concrete and Bark Steel and debris, Ferry Point Park Towers and Trees, Concrete and Bark Steel and debris, Crotona/Tremont Park Towers and Trees, Concrete and Bark Steel and debris, Van Cortlandt Park

You let the air out of the room tonight Your entry was my great escape And I held on as you pulled me in Ensnared me within your dreamscape Cuz it was always you...it'll always be you It was written in the stars Before you showed yourself, this room was dark Obscured by all things sad and frayed But, you lit the way from within your heart And you made me glad I stayed Cuz it was always you...it'll always be you It was written in the stars And in your trail a cosmic stream of hope Nevermore could I despair And as I drift and flow within your field Embraced and calmed beneath your care, I know Cuz it was always you...it'll always be you It was written in the stars

You hurt me once, we both know it was wrong And so I figured out how to string you along And now that day is here and your bill's come due I'm almost getting off at watching you work it through Cuz you were untrue Excuses (confusion), Denials (confusion), Refusals (confusion), is all I heard (chaos...chaos) Watching you do your dance, I didn't say a word Cuz I still recall all the things you said And I'll no longer give in to this sense of dread. Cuz you were Untrue Oh baby you were untrue You were untrue Now your back at home, sniffin' around Everyone can see you're in for more than a pound... And as I lay here wide awake Oh baby I know this was your last mistake Cuz you were Untrue Oh baby you were untrue You were untrue

about

On New Year's Day, 2021, I decided to begin the process of singing/songwriting. I've always had a musical ear, played piano as a kid (like everyone else), and have a fantastically talented father. I should have learned from him years ago, but was lazy...
Close to 50, there's no better time than the present.
Here are my first 5 demos. I am proud of them and hope you find something here that catches your ear.
Be well, HAPPY, safe, and musical.
